We are recruiting for a front-of-house staff member to work with our small and friendly team at our Ecclesall Road restaurant.

Family run, Turnip & Thyme serves British favourites and comfort food classics, perfect for enjoying with family and friends; with an emphasis on using seasonal ingredients locally sourced and served in a cosy and relaxed setting.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming guests and taking them to the table
• Serving guests both food and drink
• Taking food and drink orders
• Processing charges and payments
• Working as part of a small and friendly team throughout the restaurant.
• Processing bookings and sending detailed confirmations.
• Setting up the restaurant daily
• Cleaning front of house and back of house areas.

What we’re looking for:

• A strong passion for good food, wine and spirits.
• Enthusiastic about delivering great customer experiences through good food and service.
• Exceptional customer service skills delivered through excellent manners and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience of handling difficult situations.
• Ideally, hold a full UK driving license.
